What triggers heavy legs is poor blood circulation in the legs. The veins of our legs become less effective to divert blood to the heart, it has tended to stagnate in the lower legs. This results in all the discomfort of heavy legs: red, which gives them their name, but tingling or pain. Varicose veins are another sign of poor blood circulation.
